Internet communications

17 In order to maintain the security of its systems, protect its staff, and detect fraud and other crimes, the RBS Group reserves the right to monitor all internet communications, including web and email traffic, into and out of its domains. Australian Residents

18 Persons accessing this website from Australia should note that their access to and use of the information, services, and products on this website may be prohibited under the Australian Corporations Act 2001 or under RBS's Australian Financial Services Licence. Where such prohibitions apply, nothing contained in this website should be construed as an authorisation to access or use the information, services, or products on this website in Australia.

Other Important Information

19 No information and/or opinions contained in this website constitute: a public offer under any applicable legislation; an offer to sell; a solicitation or an offer to buy any securities or financial instruments; or any advice or recommendation with respect to any securities or other financial instruments.

20 The information contained in this website is subject to and must be read in conjunction with all other publicly available information, including, where relevant, any fuller disclosure document published by RBS. Any person at any time acquiring financial instruments must do so only on the basis of such person's own judgment as to the merits of the suitability of the financial instruments for its purposes and only on such information as is contained such in public information, having taken all such professional or other advice as it considers necessary or appropriate in the circumstances, and not in reliance on the information contained herein. The information is not tailored for any particular investor and does not constitute individual investment advice.

21 Information in this website relating to the yield on investments or the price at which investments have been bought or sold in the past cannot be relied upon as a guide to future performance. Commodities trading and trading in derivative products such as futures, options, and contracts for differences all involve substantial risk of loss. Although derivative instruments can be utilised for the management of investment risk, some of these products are unsuitable for many investors. Different instruments involve different levels of exposure to risk, and in deciding whether to trade in such instruments, you should be aware that certain instruments are difficult to trade in, either because they are illiquid, or because they are bilaterally negotiated. You should also be aware that there is a restricted market for such investments. It may therefore be difficult to deal in them or to obtain reliable information about their value.

22 The financial information published on, to be published on, made available through, or to be made available through this website (the "Website Information"), such as account statements, reports of forward positions, and contracts traded, is compiled and placed on the Secure Client Website with the greatest of care. Nevertheless, all Website Information should be used only for the information and convenience of our clients and shall not be relied upon as formal confirmation of the transactions between us. Only the original, paper confirmations provided pursuant to our Professional Client Terms of Business shall be regarded as the original version and relied upon by clients.
